The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW) is the national authority responsible for housing policy in Bulgaria. The Housing Policy Directorate (HPD) develops the National Housing Strategy and renovation programmes, prepares regulatory concepts, and oversees implementation measures in the housing sector.
In INSPIRenov, MRDPW leads the work, which focuses on the development of innovative financial products supporting energy renovation.
The Ministry contributes regulatory expertise, ensures alignment with national housing policies, and provides guidance on legislative and procedural aspects relevant to commercial lending to homeowner associations and energy efficiency financing, as well as the planned reforms and the strategic aims on national level.
