The event brought together industry experts, policymakers, commercial banks, and key stakeholders.

During the workshop, participants were presented with the latest developments under the INSPIRenov and SHEERenov+ projects, as well as the results of the recently finalized World Bank Technical Assistance.

Key highlights of the event included:

  • In-depth presentations on sustainable long-term financing strategies to achieve the targets set out in the Long-Term Renovation Strategy (LTRS);
  • Insights into the INSPIRenov project, which focuses on developing and testing financial instruments for energy-efficient renovation of residential buildings in Bulgaria;
  • Updates on the SHEERenov+ project and the development of its one-stop-shop (OSS) network across the country;
  • Best practice examples from EU Member States, showcasing successful financing schemes for energy-efficient renovations;
  • Engaging discussions and Q&A sessions, where participants shared valuable feedback and recommendations.

The workshop also marked an important step towards establishing two “Pathfinder for Innovation” Working Groups under INSPIRenov, which will support the development of financial instruments over the next 18 months.

Organisers expressed confidence that the outcomes of the workshop will contribute to scaling up investments in building renovation and increasing private sector involvement in energy-efficient upgrades.
